  • Ph.D. in English, Georgia State University

Dr. Robertson earned her Ph.D. in English from Georgia State University, an MFA in creative writing from the University of New Orleans, and an MA and BA in English from the University of Tennessee. She is the author of the poetry collection Surgical Wing (Alice James Books) and has published poetry and creative nonfiction in Ploughshares, Harvard Review, The Southern Review, The Cincinnati Review, Southern Humanities Review, The Massachusetts Review, Kenyon Review, and other journals. Dr. Robertson’s research and teaching interests include modern and contemporary literature, creative writing, and composition. She joins the Mercer faculty from Tennessee Wesleyan University where she served as assistant professor and the Director of Creative Writing.
